GRYS has been invited to perform at several local community events in downtown Rockwall. In addition, students will have opportunities to earn community service hours by performing chamber works for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory centers, hospitals, low-income early childhood learning centers as well as for veterans.
GRYS is actively involved in our community and works with many local nonprofit organizations. We are a proud partner with the Chamber of Commerce and have performed for the Professional Women’s Alliance, Meals on Wheels, and the Rockwall Art League and more.
We have also formed an incredible partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Texas. As part of that partnership, GRYS has launched a music appreciations program, year-round, for their kiddos. We also provide chamber music performances at their gala and throughout the year. We are so thankful to support each other and unite to reach our common goal - supporting our youth to become better people. We foster their growth as young adults and aim teach them the value of service, social responsibility and community.
GRYS is incredibly thankful for the support of the Downtown Association as well as the Department of Parks & Rec. These partnerships afford GRYS many opportunities to perform in our community. You will find us performing throughout the year in the Square, San Jacinto Plaza, and at the Harbor. GRYS also offers chamber music performance opportunities at the Harbor.
