About
The Greater Rockwall Youth Symphony (GRYS) was founded in 2022. Our goal is to provide a musical outlet for students while serving our community. We will bring the concert hall to you! We recognize that classical music is needed in our community to keep this art form alive.
Student performances take place throughout our community at many local events. We offer performances for everyone at any age. GRYS students perform at local nursing homes, assisted living facilities, memory centers, and senior centers. We also honor and serve our veterans through music.
GRYS supports local nonprofit organizations and have performed for Meals on Wheels Senior Services, Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas, Children’s Advocacy Center, the Rockwall Art League, Rockwall Women’s League, the Rotary Club, Senior Services Alliance, Professional Women’s Alliance, Soroptimist, and the Chamber of Commerce.
